Reports
Where the reports live, and the filtering, sorting and Excel export that work the same way across all of them.

The reports turn the records you have been keeping into something you can act on. They read the same data you see on each asset, subscription, person and location, and arrange it so you can answer a question about the whole organization at once.
Open the main menu with the AssetCenter logo, or with Ctrl / Command + K, and expand Reports. There are five:
- Straight Line Depreciation — book value and annual depreciation for every asset you paid for.
- End Of Life Assets — how old your assets are and when they reach end of life.
- Asset Events — every lifecycle event across every asset, in one table.
- Recurring Subscription Cost — what your subscriptions cost and what they have cost so far.
- Asset Location Map — your locations plotted on a map, with the number of assets at each.
What the reports have in common
Filtering. Most reports have a Filters button that opens a panel of the filters that make sense for that report. Filters you have applied appear as badges above the table, and a Clear button removes them all at once. The filters you choose are kept in the page address, so a filtered report can be bookmarked or sent to a colleague.
Sorting. Click any column heading to sort by it, and click again to reverse the direction.
Excel export. Straight Line Depreciation, End Of Life Assets and Asset Events have an Export to Excel button that downloads what the report is currently showing, filters included. Export the filtered view rather than the whole table when you only need part of it.
Category permissions. If a user has been limited to specific asset categories on the users page, every report shows them only the categories they have access to. Totals and counts are calculated from what they can see, so two people can open the same report and correctly see different numbers.
