    Every depreciation method, GPS trips and a bigger API

    Calculate depreciation by the method your books use, follow a tracked asset trip by trip, and connect more of AssetCenter to your other systems through the customer API.

    Depreciation report with every method

    The Straight Line Depreciation report is now the Depreciation report. Choose straight-line, double-declining balance, 150% declining balance, sum-of-years’ digits or MACRS, and every figure and the Excel export follow your choice, matching our free depreciation calculator to the cent. Set your fiscal year and the report shows the current fiscal year, such as FY2027.

    Trips in GPS replay

    Replaying a tracked asset now splits the period into trips, each drawn in its own color with its time, duration and distance, and shows how long the asset was parked in between. Select a trip to replay just that journey.

    Tracker power

    Trackers wired into a vehicle or machine now show Externally powered instead of a battery level, on the asset, the GPS Tracking report and the GPS Trackers settings page.

    Search custom fields

    The main menu search and the Subscriptions list now find assets and subscriptions by the values in their custom fields, such as a license key or PO number.

    Tidier menus and panels

    Reports are grouped in the main menu, filters and edit forms open as panels from the side of the screen, the actions menu works better on phones, and assets without their own image show the manufacturer’s logo.

    Customer API

    New endpoints for person and location events, timeline entries, record search, to-dos, GPS positions and history, and dashboard reports. Lists gain filters and sorting, actions accept attachments and comments, and searches match custom field values. See the API guide for details.

    Multiple warranties, financing details and more reliable reports

    Record every warranty an asset carries, capture how it was financed and choose where billing emails go, alongside fixes to imports, exports and reports.

    Multiple warranties per asset

    Add as many warranties as an asset needs, such as manufacturer and extended coverage, each with its own dates and cost. Add them when creating the asset or later from its actions, and the asset’s warranty cost totals them all.

    Financed purchase details

    When adding a financed asset, the amount financed is calculated from the purchase price and down payment, and you can still override it. Record the lender separately from the seller, and payment details are now optional.

    Account admins can send billing emails to any user or to a shared inbox from the Users settings page.

    Reports, imports and exports

    Fixed depreciation and subscription cost calculations, date filters across time zones, report sorting and exports that didn’t match what was on screen. Spreadsheet imports and attachment uploads now roll back cleanly if they fail, and assignment history and location loan returns are recorded correctly.

    Track onboarding, offboarding and site inspections on the same timelines as your equipment, and review them across the organization in one Events report.

    Log onboarding, signed agreements, training and offboarding on people, and inspections and maintenance on locations. Create your own event types with custom fields, add comments and attachments, and let an event such as Offboarded mark someone inactive.

    Giving a new person a start date now adds an Onboarding event to their timeline in place of the Onboarding status. Sort the People list by start date, and fill it in from Microsoft Entra hire dates through directory sync.

    The Asset Events report is now Events, with Assets, People and Locations tabs. Each tab has its own filters and exports to Excel.

    Simpler setup and record actions

    Categories and Events each have a single setup page with a toggle between the kinds they cover. Event pickers show each event’s icon and colour, and the person and location action menus now match the asset menu.
