Summary badges show how many locations the selected asset has reached and how many entries make up its complete timeline.

Visit-aware pins

Each pin carries its event count. Open the marker to see event and visit totals, the first and last dates, the address and approximate-location status.

Repeat visits preserved

When an asset returns to the same location, AssetCenter groups the site into one pin while retaining how many distinct visits occurred.

Location timeframes

The side panel shows the recorded span for the selected location, including Present when that place is still the asset’s current assignment.

Full event context

Review the event label, description, responsible user, date and time, plus indicators for attached files and comment threads.

Unmapped history retained

Historical locations without coordinates and timeline events recorded before an assignment or while unassigned remain available under Not on the map.

Source-record shortcuts

Open the full asset record from the report. Accounts with a connected tracker also receive a separate shortcut to GPS tracking.

Permission-aware selection

Users restricted to particular asset categories can search and map only the assets within their permitted scope.

What the history represents

An assignment record, not an inferred travel route

The Assignment History Map gives spatial context to the accountable lifecycle record. It is especially useful for equipment, vehicles and devices that move between known sites over time.

Timeline-based reconstruction

Location assignment events establish the active site. Other events inherit that context so the report can group the work by where it was recorded.

Evidence stays intact

The map does not replace the timeline. It presents the same event descriptions, users, timestamps, comments and file indicators through a geographic lens.

Gaps stay visible

Ungeocoded locations and events without an active location are listed separately so missing context remains reviewable instead of disappearing.

Scope: The report does not infer travel, mileage, routes or continuous movement between assignments. It is separate from optional GPS tracking and reflects only the locations and timeline events recorded in AssetCenter.
